After growing up with the same friends since our childhood, and several run-ins and friend gatherings in our adulthood (FLIRTING ALL THE TIME) we got together at a few friend's house on New Year's Eve evening of 2017, for a Baby Gender Reveal Party and to ring in The New Year! Alex rushed across the room tilt me backwards and planted a HUGE surprise kiss on me right at the stroke of midnight! Since that unexpected kiss we have fallen madly in love and unseparable! We share a strong relationship with God. We also share a passion for adventure or just being lazy together and binge watch our favorite shows and movies. We are blessed to have made a great team together! I couldn't have said yes to anyone better to spend the rest of my life with! He makes an amazing Dad to our kids and treats them as they are his own! To me he's all I could ever ask for and I can't wait to Marry him!!
A few weeks prior to asking Crystal to Marry me, I took her around town to a few places she had never been to. The duck and turtle pond at UNM and to the Love of Lock bridge that overlooks the city of Albuquerque. I knew then I wanted to take her back to those exact places to ask her to spend the rest of her life with me. The Fateful day had come and I was nervous but was good at not showing it, because I'm always trying to be adventurous and spontaneous with Crystal I had asked her on a day date with me. I had packed a blanket and some drinks and picked up some sushi and a few dozen roses and when we got to the pond area she still has not suspected a thing. We ate, talked, laughed and watched all the people run around. We cleaned up because I knew I wanted to ask the big question on the bridge over the pond. As we got to the bridge we saw 2 ducks cross under the bridge and I quickly asked Crystal to catch a picture of them! When she turned back around to me that's when she cought me going down on one knee with a box in my hand! Although she was smiling and laughing the whole time I'm on my knee I knew then this was her saying yes through that cute laugh of hers and she did say yes! When we were walking away a lady and her son ran up to us in excitement that we just got engaged and congratulated us and shared some surprising photos of the whole proposal (Thank you lady and her son). After that we went to the bridge and placed a lock on it with our engagement date!
