Dress code is cocktail style. Ceremony will be in a garden so make sure you bring shoes that can walk on grass and good for dancing all night! Sintra can get quite chilly at night (~50-60 degrees farenheit) so be sure to bring layers!
You can travel between Lisbon and Sintra by train and uber pretty easily. We don't recommend renting a vehicle unless you plan to spend time touring more rural areas for more than a day. Parking in Lisbon can be very challenging and streets can be very narrow or difficult to navigate. We've been able to get everywhere with ease by walking and taking the Metro or grabbing an uber.
Definitely! Portuguese cuisine is mainly fish and vegetables so you'll be able to delicious whole foods in almost every restaurant. What about Gluten-free? Other than avoiding the obvious baked goods and pasta's you should have an easy time finding something delicious to appease your appetite!
Not at all! Most Portuguese people speak great English, but it's definitely fun to learn some Portuguese while you are there. Obrigado: Thank you (if you are Male) Obrigrada: Thank you (if you are Female) Bom Dia: Good Day (We say this when we walk into stores to greet the people in the store)
