We have known each other since high school but it wasn't until late in our college life that we started to date. Jae has is version of the story and I have mine (the right version) and I am sure many of you have heard it from both of us over the years. We started dating when we were 23 years old. Our first date was grabbing frozen yogurt together. Some of our fondest memories come from when we first started dating. Through the years, we have grown up together, learned from each other and continue to support each other every day.

Jae has always had a way of unexpectedly surprising me. The proposal was another one of his surprises. It was our first trip to Europe and I had done most of the planning. Our first stop was Paris. We arrived late on a Friday evening and our plan was to have dinner and grab a couple of drinks before our first full day in Paris. The following morning was Christmas Eve and I had planned for us to watch the sunrise at Place Du Trocadero which overlooks the Eiffel Tower. When we arrived, I fell in love with Paris and I couldn't take my eyes off of the Eiffel Tower. It was a beautiful morning and right before the sun was going to rise I wanted Jae to take a picture of me but he was busy texting. I was so confused at how he could be texting and not paying attention to the beautiful view. That's when we grabbed my hand and swung me around and got down on one knee. After I said "yes" he got up, hugged me, and said "and guess who is here." I turn to see one of my best friends, Jenny Fu, taking photos of us! Prior to that point, I had tried to keep it together but this was beyond anything I ever expected and I was just filled with so many emotions and happiness. It was the most romantic proposal ever.
