In Fall of 2023, Sebastian and Haley spent two weeks abroad in Japan, traveling throughout Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, and Osaka. They went shopping in the busy hub of Shibuya, relaxed in the natural hot springs of Hakone, exchanged bows of respect with the deer of Nara, explored historical shrines all across Kyoto, and enjoyed delightful street food in downtown Osaka. At the beginning of their adventures in Kyoto, Sebastian led Haley to the beautiful Tsutenkyo Bridge where they had a stunning view of the autumn foliage. As they paused to capture a photo together, Sebastian suddenly revealed a ring box and dropped to one knee. In her utter shock and disbelief, Haley’s first words were: “Are you JOKING?” She of course accepted once she realized he was, in fact, not joking. They are now thrilled to celebrate the beginning of their marriage with their closest friends and family!
