Our love story began in Austin, March 3, 2017. Trae was gearing up for a fun evening out and unknowingly tagged along with a friend to a dinner that Jessica had planned. Upon arrival to the restaurant Trae quickly grabbed the open seat next to Jessica. Conversation came easy and a common interest of Texas A&M University, travel, family and fishing were discussed. Fast-forward several hours into the evening where Trae and Jessica were competitively shooting hoops on 6th Street while exchanging flirtatious banter. Trae was impressed and left that night wanting to know more. A few days later Trae sent Jessica a message on Facebook wanting her digits and a re-match on the basketball court. Fast forward a month later, Trae ditched a date to hang out with Jessica for a second time at Stay Gold in East Austin. Trae had just taken a new job and training took him away from Austin for the entire summer. Their first date 'alone' was in late August at Gruene Hall. Jessica remembers talking for hours and feeling like they had known each other for years. They had deep intentional conversation that came natural paired with a burger from In-N-Out. Trae had to travel back to Abilene for work soon after this date. Jessica decided to visit Trae in Abilene a few weeks later. Jessica got to know Trae a lot more while visiting Abilene and returned to work in Austin on Monday surprised with the most beautiful bouquet of flowers from Trae. Trae's pursuit for Jessica has not slowed down since. They both thank God for His faithfulness and for orchestrating their story!

Trae spent many months designing the perfect ring for Jessica and bought it in May 2018. Over Memorial weekend in Port O'Connor, Trae asked Jessica's father for her hand in marriage. He found the anticipation overwhelming so he asked while on the water. After getting blessing from Mr. Fowler, Trae then asked for Mrs. Fowler and Jessica's older brother (Jarod) for their permission. Trae got down on one knee in Panama City Beach, Florida on July 8, 2018. Trae had planned for months to propose to Jessica on this trip. He had a random bystander video the proposal. Following the proposal, Trae had prepared a video timeline of their favorite dating memories and messages from their closest family and friends. That night they celebrated at Shuckum's Oyster Pub and Seafood followed by live music.
