We met online in the beginning of August 2022. We talked a lot getting to know each other for about a month. Then we decided to finally meet in person. Our first date we met at Beer and Fish downtown Fargo to have dinner. Then we went to pixels to play old arcade games. The date went really well, so we decided to see each other again. We met each other's families and spent our first holidays together. Fast forward a few months to April 2023, we decided to move in together. Matt moved to Moorhead, where we stayed in a two-bedroom apartment while we saved for a house. Many big things happened early in our relationship, close family deaths, loss of jobs, starting new careers, and Kayla graduating. All these things brought us closer together as we navigated through the tough and exciting changes together. In November of 2024 we decided to go ring shopping and got engaged in our kitchen, in our pajamas. We enjoyed a long engagement during which we purchased our first home in May 2025. We have been enjoying home ownership and all the many projects that come with it. Come September 26, 2026, we will start the next chapter of our story when we get married!
