August 24, 2018. That was the day Ashton Moore pulled into Back Circle at Transylvania University with multiple cars loaded down with all of the college essentials; bedding, dorm room decor, and clothes.  Lots and lots of clothes.  Tasked with the job of moving everything to her room was a freshman on the golf team, who was already on campus for the fall season - Timothy Alexander. Little did the two of them know that this first brief encounter would be the start of forever. Even though Tim and Ashton instantly became friends, they had their own lives on campus. Ashton was a chemistry major who always had her eyes set on higher education, while also being very involved in her sorority, Tri Delta. Tim, on the other hand, was an accounting major who spent most of his time with friends and on the golf course.  However, as time went on, the two of them began spending more and more of their free time together. And while Ashton may have seen their driving range sessions, cafeteria meetups, and late night Cookout runs as friends, Tim was starting to see her much differently.  And, finally, on September 29, 2021, near the beginning of their Senior Year,  the two broke out of the friend zone and started officially dating.  From then on, Tim and Ashton have been inseparable.  From bungee jumping off of the Tyrone Bridge, going on each other's family vacations, multiple concerts, to simple dinner date nights together, they have always enjoyed spending quality time with one another.  And while it has not always been easy with balancing dental school for Ashton in Lexington and Tim working in different cities, the two of them have remained strong in their faith and leaned on God to build a firm foundation in their relationship. On October 4, 2025, Ashton said the easiest ‘yes’ of her life as Tim got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. As they both reflect on their past and look towards the future, they are so excited to celebrate their marriage with their friends and family on June 5, 2025!
