Alyson's friend and bridesmaid Ryan recommended trying Hinge dating app. June 21, 2018 Alyson dowloaded the app and June 27 she met Tim virtually. She was attracted to the locations of interest on his account where he expressed desire to travel, and he was intrigued by her food choices she named if she could choose any last meal, the pull pork sandwich, mac and cheese, and corn bread muffins with honey butter won him over. July 10 he mustered up the courage to officially ask her for her number and July 18 they shared their first phone call. Instantly Tim and Alyson hit it off and corresponded constantly through out today, sharing about their lives and ambitions within career and continuing education. They soon realized they had a lot in common and decided to speak to each other exclusively. Due to life's hurdles and barriers they would not meet in person until December 1st for the Alabama vs Georgia football game. Once Tim crossed the bridge from Southern Maryland to embark on his journey to Central Virginia, he knew he loved Alyson. After 5 months of building an emotional connection and learning about each other they made it official following their date. Totally worth the wait!

December 5, 2020 Tim arrived to help Alyson decorate her apartment for Christmas. The original plan Alyson bought into was to decorate the tree, hang lights, bake cookies, listen to Christmas music, drink cider, and binge watch hallmark movies. Tim proposed the idea to film a podcast for their developing YouTube channel to utilize their skills for relationship advice from their perspectives as a couple in human services fields as both mental health therapist & life/ health coach. He suggested the options of playing a question game, discussing their relationship history, or talking about their anniversary. Alyson chose discussing the testimony of their relationship. Tim asked if they should order food first and then film, or vice versa. With so much flexibility in planning Alyson did not suspect anything, as Tim assured her he was unsure about when to propose, did not like proposing near holidays due to the cliche, and questioned ring type/ size. Tim asked if Alyson could run to the store while he baked cookies for a few last minute items for decorations. He filmed a secret video to her friend/ bridesmaid Megan revealing that he would be proposing. Upon her return they prepared for podcast date night, Alyson did not realize Tim was wearing the cufflinks she gifted him "I love you to the moon and back" June 2019 for their anniversary. Tim set up decorative lights and repositioned the furniture in the living room as they both sat down to embark on the conversation of their future. During the recording Tim presented Alyson with a personalized mistletoe to kiss under, after hanging it he got down on one knee and proposed with a personalized infinity band with emerald stones for Alyson's favorite color. He guessed her ring size perfectly by sizing it in secret in comparison of her finger size compared to his with a paper he carried in his phone. Lastly, he gave her a personalized dated ornament with a ring that said "She said yes! December 5, 2020." Best podcast ever!
