Maid of Honor
I met Jessica and we became friends when we started working on the same unit at the University of Virginia Health in 2014. I feel very lucky to still have such a good friend in the area. She has been a great travel buddy, neighbor, quarantine partner, work-talk friend, and dog-god-mom to Nala (my dog).
Bridesmaid
I met Rachel at Eastern Mennonite University when we lived in the same dorm in college. We grew very close in the following years, attending nursing school together and then as roommates after that. Rachel now lives in Pennsylvania with her husband Mark and is expecting her family to become a party of 3 before our wedding!
Bridesmaid
Laci became part of our family when she married my brother Philip in 2013. She has been an invaluable addition to our family and a sister I never had! Laci and her family live out in Ohio and it's always such a pleasure when I get to go out for coffee with Laci or hang out with the family!
Bridesmaid
Maggie was my partner in crime through my high school years in Durham, NC. We were in youth group together and frequented each others houses constantly, as well as the local cookout and mall (as high schoolers do). She now lives down in Tennessee and we don't see each other so much, but catch up as often as we can!
Best Man
Juan has been one of my best friends since he arrived in Harrisonburg to finish his degree and complete his collegiate soccer career. We graduated simultaneously and have worked together professionally since. Other than my parents, there is no one who has done more for me personally or professionally. I am honored to consider him amongst my closest friends.
Groomsman
Pat and I initially met at a college recruiting camp while in high school. Unbeknownst to me, I then befriended several of his high school friends while in college. When we made the connection and he moved to Harrisonburg to coach, we became close friends and have remained so since he has moved to Tennessee and back to Virginia to pursue collegiate coaching opportunities.
Groomsman
Kurtis and I have had an unlikely friendship. The first time we met was playing indoor soccer in college. He was clearly a good enough player to be playing for the men's team. I asked why he hadn't tried out. He replied, "the soccer season overlaps with hunting season..." We inevitably found common ground over a mutual love of soccer and the outdoors and have been the best of friends since.
Groomsman
Chris is my younger brother and only sibling. Needless to say, he was a huge part of my life up until I moved out of our parents house for college. We likely have not seen each other frequently enough, as we have lived fairly far away from one another since my moving out of the house. While I have remained in Harrisonburg, he has graduated from Hofstra University and is working in Northern Virginia.
Flower Girl
Lesedi and Leanna are my two sweet nieces, and are daughters of Philip and Laci Tieszen. They live in Ohio and are fans of princess dresses, the colors pink and purple, arts and crafts, and riding their scooters.
