WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

Hannah and Matthew first crossed paths when on a mission trip to Oklahoma City with their church. Though they shared a confirmation class the previous year, the two had to travel 440 miles to truly meet. When in Oklahoma, the two were assigned different houses right across the street from one another. When Matthew's house finished earlier than expected, his team decided to help Hannah's. Bonding over their extensive need for sunblock, they continued to find themselves working on the same part of the house for the days that followed. Somehow, painting and scraping in the scorching Oklahoma sun brought these two together through their love of God and selfless service. They plan to continue pursuing these two loves as well as each other for the rest of their lives.

Matthew got Hannah to commit to coming to New Braunfels for the weekend. The two planned to go take pictures and have a fun dinner with friends because "we never get dressed up anymore" and "we are graduating so soon". Hannah bought those excuses and went along with the plan. Matthew picked Hannah up, and the two drove to Gruene. Roaming from picture spot to picture spot, Matthew then led Hannah to a place they would often find themselves when they ran out of date ideas; a secluded porch swing. There, rose petals formed the shape of a heart with candles all around. Matthew spoke words from the heart, asking to spend forever with Hannah. The two rejoiced and were joined by a guitarist playing their song as they danced under the awning. And now, almost a year later, the two will vow to one another in holy matrimony.
