Directly from the invitation email!
Once you park, you will be directed to "Covid check-in." At check-in you will either present your negative test result that was taken within 48 hours of the ceremony, or you will take a rapid test that will give results in 15 minutes. After the "all clear" from our Covid officer, you will be free to take the shuttle to the ceremony & reception site. Hopefully, this will be the only time you'll need to think about Covid for the day. While you wait, you will be asked if you would like to wear a green, yellow, or red wristband. The color wristband indicates your personal comfort around other individuals. A green wristband indicates that you are comfortable with hugs, handshakes, and high fives. A yellow wristband indicates that you're more of an "elbows only" kind of guest, whereas a red wristband indicates that you'd prefer to greet from 6 feet. We're hoping that this can avoid the awkward "are you cool with hugging yet or....?" questions.
Currently, no. That may change depending on the demand (and our IT knowledge). Once the video of our wedding is complete, we will provide a private link to our friends and family!
Planning a wedding in the midst of a pandemic has presented some unique challenges. We were truly hoping that Covid would not be as much of an issue by Spring of 2022, but sadly, that is not the case. Due to the recent surge in cases (and because we do not know what the future holds), we have decided that we feel most comfortable if everyone is vaccinated at our wedding. We feel this decision will allow us to enjoy our wedding to the fullest and we hope you understand. Please only RSVP "Attending" if you and your guest(s) will be fully vaccinated by the wedding date.
Yes, please. If your child was invited but is unvaccinated, unfortunately they cannot attend the ceremony and reception. We'd love to see them at the next family gathering!
Unfortunately, no. We originally were planning a big wedding where we could invite everyone, but then Delta happened. That shifted plans to a different venue that could accommodate a ceremony outdoors. However, the venue only allows for a maximum of 50 guests (including the bride & groom), and we had to sign a contract stating that we would follow their COVID protocol. We truly would love to have all of our loved ones attend but we cannot do that given the current situation. We are currently at capacity and cannot allow for any more guests (even though that breaks our hearts). These are just one of the many adjustments we've had to make due to COVID. Thank you for your understanding.
Come as you are. Seriously! If you love any reason to get all gussied up, have at it! If you have the best time in jeans and flip flops, go for it! Want to cosplay? Why not?! We're celebrating our love, and as a quirky couple, we don't care what you wear. What matters is that you're there to celebrate with us! Seriously, be comfortable. Life's too short to be all stuffy! Let your hair down, wear comfy shoes, and get ready to par-tay! And yes, the bride will be wearing the biggest wedding dress but that's only because she won't ever have a chance to wear a dress that big again. Be assured that she is also wearing the most practical, comfy shoes underneath that dress.
We are so excited to be getting married! We really are!! However, both of us also have a tendency to procrastinate. A LOT. We really wanted to send out "save the dates," but it didn't quite happen because we were focused on filming Season 2 of "Diary of a Wimpy Alien." If you haven't seen Season 2 yet, you can right now on our YouTube Channel (And You Films)! We do apologize for sending these invites out later than we would have liked. We love you all and hope that you can join us for our very special day.
