Working together at P.F. Changs, Nick and Diana were co-workers before anything. After a year or so, Diana's best friend, Anissa, put the word in his ear that he should ask Diana out on a date. Nick initially thought she was taken because what girl that looks that good is single? Nick mustered up the courage and finally asked her out on a date to Luciano's. The night was perfect and the two have been inseparable ever since.
Diana and Nick went on a weekend trip to Nashville in late October of 2020. Seeing as Diana is such a country music fan, it was the perfect place for a little get away for the two. Little did Diana know, Nick had bought an engagement ring months before and had an extra surprise for the weekend. On that Saturday October 24th, Nick proposed at the steps of Percy Warner Park. Hiring a photographer and singer/guitar player, he surprised her with one of her favorite country songs and got to one knee right after the song was finished. It went off without a hitch and it's safe to say Diana was ecstatic. October 24th means more than just a fall Saturday in the middle of hellish 2020. Diana's parents were married on October 23rd and her grandparents were married on October 25th. Nick wanted the date of the proposal to be between the anniversaries of two strong relationships that had such a foundation and strong meaning in Diana's life. Her parents and grandparents hold a special place in her heart and it was symbolic of modeling Nick and Diana's marriage after two amazing marriages.
