If you look at my (Theresa) 2006 yearbook from Central Middle School in Eden Prairie, MN, you won't find messages from friends saying "HAGS" or "You rock, never change." The only writing in it is mine, over Lauren's adorable brace-faced picture, saying something not so nice regarding her 13 year old pre-pubescence. My story is that I CLEARLY had a crush on Lauren all those years ago and didn't know how to express it other than childishly lashing out. Lauren's story (and more likely the truth) is that I was a jerk with a crush on her "boyfriend." I'm sticking with my story. 14 years later, thanks to modern dating technology and Covid-induced work from home policies, Lauren and I "re-met" when I came to spend a month in Minnesota. Though Lauren tried to break it off after the first date, soon enough I was extending my stay in MN and the rest is history. On Christmas Eve of 2021, we made it official when I got down on one knee and Lauren said "OH MY GOD!" Which I think meant yes. We are so happy to be getting married and can't wait to celebrate with our closest friends and family!
