The McAvoys

In March of 2017, Ross & Andrea were introduced by their mutual friend Tom. They found out that they had both graduated from Michigan State & were actually in the same graduation ceremony! A few months later Andrea reached out to "that cute guy that went to MSU that she met at Toms." After a few text messages they hungout and went snowboarding, Ross was a pro.. & let's just say it wasn't Andrea's snowboarding skills that attracted Ross. A few weeks later, Ross started a new job and for 6 months they were only able to see each other on the weekends, with little communication throughout the week. After a bunch of dinner dates & trips to get ice cream, on one weekend in May 2018, Ross decided to make them "official" ;) 6 years and 8 cities later, they now have 2 dogs and a home in Grand Blanc, Michigan.

If you know them, you'll know that Andrea loves to plan things & Ross would rather go with the flow. However, this time Ross told Andrea that he had a date planned for them. Ross told Andrea to dress nice for a dinner reservation he made in downtown Detroit. Andrea had her suspisions, but it was close to valentine's day, their 5 year dating anniversary wasn't until May, so she didn't think too much into it. They parked and started walking towards the Detroit River and it was COLD! Andrea asked what restaurant are they possibly going to that is so close to the river?? As they passed the Spirit of Detroit statue, Ross told Andrea to wait one second and when she turned around he was on his knee, with a beautiful ring in his hand. After a very excited "YES," the photographer that Ross hired came out from hiding and took some more photos of them downtown. It was so romantic & absolutely perfect!
