We first connected through social media during the height of Covid and went on our first date at Miller’s Ale House. Naturally reserved, it took us a little time to break the ice, but once we did, we quickly realized just how much we had in common. From our shared love of cars and crafts to hiking, travel, and the outdoors, our connection deepened with every conversation. That bond grew even stronger when I learned Brandon had a husky, my dream dog since childhood. Casper has since become the heart of our home. She greets us each day with boundless joy, brings happiness to everyone she meets, and keeps us laughing with her goofy personality. We are so grateful she is ours. Our second date came after a long workday over wings, though I arrived late due to a flat tire at work. Brandon immediately offered to help change it, showing his thoughtfulness from the very start. The next day, what was meant to be a quick ice cream date turned into a three hour walk and talk through Port Jefferson, filled with laughter and easy conversation. From that point on, we were inseparable. As our relationship grew, so did our understanding of each other. Our favorite foods, dreams, and goals fell into place, and we were surprised to learn how many mutual friends we shared. We even discovered that our grandparents are laid to rest in adjoining sections at Calverton National Cemetery, an unexpected and meaningful connection. One especially sweet discovery was that both our families shared the same Mother’s Day tradition: breakfast at The Cheesecake Factory right when the doors opened at 9 a.m. We often joke that we must have crossed paths many times over the years, long before we officially met. Looking back, we now see how clearly God’s timing was at work in our lives. Every step, every delay, and every unexpected moment led us exactly where we were meant to be, together. What once felt like coincidence revealed itself as part of a much greater plan, perfectly timed and intentionally written. Our shared love for adventure continues to take us to new places. From rafting and hiking to car shows and mountain getaways, we find so much joy exploring the world side by side. One of our favorite traditions is attending the Ford Nationals Car Show in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, where many cherished memories have been made, including the moment I won first place in the Bronco Sport category. Brandon’s emotional reaction made it even more unforgettable. While we love traveling and making memories, especially with Casper in tow, we are homebodies at heart. Our happiest days are often the simplest, spent in comfy clothes, crafting, gardening, and enjoying each other’s company. In October 2024, we took a special trip to Virginia, exploring Shenandoah National Park, Harpers Ferry, and several scenic state parks. We stayed in a cozy cabin in Front Royal, and on our second night there, Brandon proposed. He even arranged for a photographer to capture the moment, and it was truly perfect. Now, almost six years after we first met, we are so excited to be getting married. With our shared love of the outdoors, it felt only natural to plan a smaller, more intimate celebration that truly reflects who we are as a couple. We are incredibly honored and grateful to celebrate this special moment with the people who mean the most to us. Thank you for being part of our journey. We cannot wait to share this unforgettable weekend with you. With love, The soon to be newlyweds
