On a Sunday morning, Aaron & Sam decided to hike up the hillsides of Mount Alice, the most prominent mountain on the east side of Resurrection Bay. Resurrection Bay was countless shades of blue and the sun beamed in the sky as they clambered up the trail. This was Aaron's first time on Mount Alice, and though Sam had been up the trail many times before, she didn’t know just how special this particular hike would be. After a steep hike up, Aaron’s eyes settled on a beautiful spot with sweeping views of the mountain’s vast bowl. This was it. “Why are you taking out your jacket, it’s so hot?!” Sam interrogated as she squatted down to pee - setting a very romantic tone for the big moment. The way Aaron looked into Sam’s eyes, with tears in his, gave Sam a sense something big was about to happen. “Samantha Grace Allen, will you marry me?” With a gun on his chest, how could she say no? As the newly engaged couple joyfully skipped down the mountain, they bumped into another couple who just got engaged, too! The Wisconsin lovers had a camera crew with them, who snapped a photo of Sam & Aaron. It was one of those special, Seward days, made unforgettable.
