When love meets

Love never fails

The story began February 2020. It was love at first sight for Chris. When Chris saw Grace on the third day of the BCF conference, he literally stopped and asked his friend, "Who is THAT?' and immediately, his friend laughed knowing exactly who Chris meant and said "That is Grace." From that moment on, Chris knew he just had to know Grace personally. He wasted no time making himself known to her. The moment he found an opening to talk with her, he took it. As for Grace, although she had the desire in her heart to be married, she didn't know yet who, how or what God had in store for her but she was expectant and prayerful. When Chris first began talking to her about her experience at BCF and things of life that brought her joy, like the mountains, she didn't know that she was speaking to her answered prayers. Eventually time went on and one conversation led to many more. They found out they had similar interests such as with family, music, humor, and so much more. Eventually acquaintanceship quickly blossomed to a delicate friendship. Chris tried to make his move on Grace prematurely and Grace gracefully and politely friend-zoned him. Grace sincerely wanted to be friends with Chris and unbeknownst to her, the boundary she set for friendship attracted Chris even more. After a year of on and off check-ins with waves of deepening affection and conversations, Grace began softening to the possibility of being more than friends with Chris. Grace became more vulnerable with Chris, she began looking forward to his calls and messages, and butterflies filled her belly at the thought of knowing him on a deeper level. Grace quickly sought out council and prayed to God about a future with Chris and received the Peace she needed to continue to be pursued. Chris noticed the changed in Grace's accessibility, questions and attention towards him and did not waste time with letting his intentions be known. On March 10, 2021 Chris let Grace know his true feelings for her and let her know that he plans to marry her. Grace full of nerves and excitement agreed to begin courtship with Chris. Courtship was glorious and a blessing to the both of them as they dived deeper into knowing each other more. Their time in courtship taught them what 1 Corinthians 13: 4 truly means, Love is Patient, Love is Kind, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. They learned so much about God, themselves and each other in courtship and knew in their hearts that they needed to take things to another level. Chris received his confirmation to marry Grace long before she knew but was patient with her to also receive the revelation from God. They went through periods to trial and tribulation throughout their courtship but continued to trust God through it all. They had more highs than lows and were always expectant with God. Then finally once Grace received her BSN. Chris knew it was officially time to lock it down. So on May 6th, after months of enduring Grace's suspicion, questions and preparation for the proposal with Grace's close friend, Chris asked Grace the question that shook her world, he got down on one knee and asked her, "Will you marry me?" She confidently and happily said yes. Grace's yes leads to this day where they are happily preparing for the wedding and cordially invite you to celebrate and be in agreeance with them over their union on March 16th, 2024. We hope our love story warmed your heart and blessed you as it continues to bless us daily. God has been so gracious with us and we hope to see you on our wedding day. Thank you. The Foba's
