Our Story

Logan’s POV!

Sabrina and I met in 2013 when we had chemistry class together in high school. I remember the first day I noticed her, she came in wearing a sequin dress and she looked absolutely stunning. The teacher we had in that class didn’t care much about teaching us or his job (he ended up getting fired halfway through the year), so we had lots of time to talk and get to know each other. After I graduated from high school, Sabrina and I kept in touch. We would always hang out when I came back home from college. I think at the time she was really into me, but I couldn’t see us being together because of how far apart we lived. I was going to college in Ohio, and she was going to Texas State. As the years went by, it felt like every year we would find an excuse to fly across the country and be together. We did this several times until eventually we went to Las Vegas in 2019 for her 21st birthday. I think it was there in the Las Vegas airport when we said goodbye that I realized that I loved her. I never felt this way about any other woman in my life, and she has always been there for me for years. 2 days later, she FaceTimed me at 2 am on Valentine's Day. We had a talk where I opened up to her and told her how I felt. She booked a flight to visit me right then and there and, in 5 hours, boarded a plane, landed 1000 miles away, and got in my car. That was when we decided that distance wasn’t an issue, and we wanted to be together. Fast-forward 3 months later, I packed my Corolla full of everything I owned, and I drove across the country into the 500-square-foot apartment that we would share with our 2 dogs. It was the beginning of a new stage in both of our lives and I don’t think either of us had any clue about what we wanted to do and who we were, but we had each other and that was all I needed at that time. After dating for 4 years, I decided to pop the question. I went out and bought the nicest ring I could find and waited about 6 months until we went to Cancun with my parents on vacation. She said yes and now here we are. No relationship is perfect, but I think a reason why we have stayed together and will continue to stay together is how we complement each other. Sabrina is very type A. She is one of the most organized and structured people I know. Sabrina at her heart is an introvert. In comparison, I might be one of the most unorganized, happy-go-lucky people I know, and I’m always the life of the party everywhere we go. Sabrina needs me to lighten the mood and teach her that everything isn’t the end of the world, and I need her to keep me focused on one thing at a time. I don’t think I could have found someone else among the 8 billion people on this planet that completes me and makes me a better person the way she does.
