Asha and Tuf’s love story began in the Fall of 2014. If you ask them, their stories of who actually made the first move are vastly different. However, they both agree their first interaction occurred in the athletic training room of Bolingbrook High School as teenagers. Some weeks later, they went on their first date at a haunted house in Aurora, Illinois. As time went by, Asha and Tuf realized they would have to go their separate ways while attending college. While Asha pursued her degree at the University of Missouri and Tuf at The Ohio State University, they were taught many lessons about life and love. Through hours of plane and car rides, as well as countless facetime calls, their relationship and love for one another continued to grow. Looking back now, they both agree this stage in life, though tough at times, was invaluable to their overall development, both collectively and as individuals. After Asha’s college graduation in 2019, she soon found herself working in Columbus, Ohio while Tuf finished his stint as an Ohio State student-athlete. This was an extremely exciting and joyful part of their story, as it was the first time they were able to discover the world together. In this time, the couple traveled the United States on post-season football bowl trips, went on their first cruise with the Wallace family and even rescued their Pit Bull Jersey. After Tuf’s graduation in January of 2021, work obligations changed and the couple made the difficult decision to separate again; Asha went back to Missouri, and Tuf to Minneapolis. Finally, after 7 years as a couple and two stretches of long-distance, Tuf proposed to Asha while she was visiting him in Minneapolis during Christmas in 2021. While Asha thought it was strange to unwrap a Christmas ornament at the moment, she quickly realized the ornament was Tuf’s way of asking for her hand in marriage. Needless to say, she said yes and was then surprised with the love and support of their families in town for a celebratory dinner. June 13th, 2023 cannot come soon enough and we are excited for you to join us in celebrating our union!
