PLEASE WATCH! Get to know the bride & groom as we talk about our wedding day expectations in further detail!
We met on BLK in Oct. 2020 lol. BLK is a dating site for those of you that don't know. We both were not very into dating sites prior to. We both were trying something new. Although neither of us were looking for a relationship, one DM conversation led to something we weren't expecting. After a month or so of texting, facetiming and talking on the phone, we finally met in person at a taco spot in Charlotte. First impressions must have been great because from there we went on a few more dates/outings; from walks in the park to trying new restaurants. We noticed quickly how similar we were and a friendship begin to develop, not to mention our birthdays are 2 weeks apart. It didn't take long for a genuine friendship to turn into a relationship. We talked often about doing things God's way and not wasting each other's time. After spending much time together we decided to make it official in February 2021. Shortly after, Olajuwon joined Faith Soldiers Word Ministries where De’ja was already a member at and we begin working on our relationship with God both together and separately. That is why we are where we are today. We were both embarking on something new and beyond our own abilities while experiencing a love that we never had before; and we still are. Our love story hasn't been perfect, but we have had God's perfect will working in us. SHOUTOUT TO PRE-MARITAL COUNSELING AS WELL! Without counseling we wouldn't have taken the necessary steps to marriage. It was not a shock to me that Olajuwon proposed because he had talked about me being his wife very early on, but I was still overjoyed. And here we are; going from McNeal to Jackson! I knew he was the one because not just my mother but my FATHER loved him right away lol! I also brought him to Milwaukee around my family and I never do that! 🤭❤️
