We met on Hinge, the app that's meant to be deleted. JM said he liked my style, and I replied that I liked his idea of a first date: a dive bar & dog walk. A week or so after texting, he asked me out for drinks and we met up at a local dive, Locust Bar. Although I had to wait a few more dates to meet Kirby.

It was a Monday after we had just returned from a week of travel, he was off work and decided to golf. I hadn't been feeling well that day. He'd texted and said how nice it was outside, so I'd decided to go up to our roof deck to get some fresh air. When he got home, he came up to the roof and he was telling me about how bad his round was but had this huge smile on his face and I couldn't figure out why...until I noticed him fidgeting with something in his pocket. I finally realized what was happening and was so surprised and excited! He walked over, got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him, and I said YES!!
