we're getting married!

okay so it wasn't actually the 21st of september...but it was back in september of 2013. in true nerd fashion, we met at an honor society club. when i (taylor) walked into the nerd club headquarters - suggesting another idea as usual - i was speechless when i saw brittany. mainly because she was waving a yard stick around the room. but also from how hilarious and carefree she was! from there, we hit it off right away and had the chance to get to know each other better by putting together an award-worthy nerd project on behalf of our university in a nerd competition. we both transferred to niu and wanted to mess around - with a major in chemistry! next thing i (brittany) know, we graduate and taylor's asking me to move into a place in oak park - with some "cute and cuddly" (haha) cat, named clemens. we have been through so much together! from something small like learning to ski or something bigger like making the big move into the heart of the city of chicago to making an even bigger move across the country to boston, taylor has always had my back and at that always with a gorgeous smile and words of encouragement to boot. when taylor asked me to marry her back on that beach in nevada, i knew then and there i'd have to steal some of her thunder and ask her right back asap. we can't wait to be married and celebrate it with you all!

we've come a long way since our college of dupage days. today we've moved a total of three times since 2017. we've survived university, new careers, a crazy kitty, a cross-country move, a polar vortex, a global pandemic, and wedding planning together--WHEW! in the last few months of 2021, we'll be celebrating the arrival of our newest family member, Luisa, and celebrating our life together as newly weds--WOO! but we couldn't have done all of this without the support of our family and amazing friends. we're looking forward to reflecting on the past, living in the present, and celebrating our future with you all!
