We're so excited for you to join us in Sewanee, Tennessee for our wedding! Located on the South Cumberland Plateau (what locals call "the mountain"), Elise moved to the area in 2008 with her family, attending high school at Saint Andrew's-Sewanee School and college at The University of the South. After leaving the mountain for graduate school and beyond, she somehow managed to convince Ben, a true NYC city slicker, to move to Sewanee in October of 2020. It was already a special place for Elise, but it has very quickly has become special for Ben as well. Here, you'll find endless hiking trails with breathtaking views, local haunts like Shenanigans restaurant in bustling "downtown" Sewanee, and a charming, small-town feel that we love so dearly. We hope you will take some time to explore this weird and wonderful little place while you're here. Be sure to ask us why it is so important for you to tap the roof of your car when entering or exiting the Sewanee Gates!
