TLDR; Add it all together and you are looking at $2500+ for a couple or $1500+ solo for a WEEK at the unforgettable Samana peninsula. The Dominican Republic is the #1 tourist destination in the Carribean. Turquoise waters and lush palm forests are just the beginning of what the DR has to offer. Luckily, it can be rather inexpensive by California standards. Flights are expected to run $300-$400 ROUND TRIP for economy. The cheapest options so far are from LAX to Santo Domingo (SDQ) and are through United or Spirit airlines. Unfortunately all flights have layovers, in Florida or Texas and the shortest flight with layover is over 10 hours. Carpooling to and from airports will keep our costs down so please reach out to us anytime if you are interested in coordinated group efforts on transportation, etc. at a lower price per head. Our Wedding is on the week of President's day. It would certainly be worth staying for a week or more if you are able to make it out, but if you stay for just the ceremony we will appreciate it all so much. Our Wedding villa has 13 rooms and we hope to fill them all soon at a rate of $200 a night per room. Most rooms are king bed for 2, some fit 4. We have booked 5 nights at the Villa Del Mar from February 18-23, 2025. There are hotels nearby, nightly prices from under 100$ to $300+ for all inclusive 5 star resorts. There are many more smaller Villas (2-4 bedroom) that would be under 80$ a night per room if rooms are filled. All of these places are near or on beach and perfect to coordinate with others to share. Lastly, food is pricier than expected because most food is shipped in on boats, average prices range from $40-$100 per person per day. Seafood caught fresh daily in Las Terrenas. Make sure you don't ask for seafood that is out of season (like lobster in February).
YES! Tamara will have her booked almost every day, but the Villa offers a highly regarded masseuse for a rate of $50/hr.
