What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony and reception venues?
Answer
Our ceremony and reception will be at the same venue. Our venue is Cedar Valley Forest located at 29145 W. 83rd St. De Soto, KS 66018.

What is the weather like in the area?
Answer
In Kansas, September can be quite warm and humid considering it is the end of summer. Rain is also a possibility for that time of year.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
Weather permitting, we will have our ceremony and possibly cocktail hour outdoors. Our reception will be inside on property. If weather does come our way, we will plan to have our ceremony inside where the reception will be.

Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?
Answer
We are planning to have a cocktail hour for our guests immediately following the ceremony. This time will allow the wedding party to have time for photos, and get ready for the reception.

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?
Answer
We invite you to be fully present with us during our ceremony. Please join us in an unplugged ceremony by turning off your phones, cameras, and other devices. For our reception, please feel free to take as many photos and videos as you would like!

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?
Answer
Unfortunately our budget does not allow for every guest to bring a plus one. If you are allowed one, it will indicate so on your invitation/RSVP.

What is the dress code for your wedding?
Answer
We kindly suggest that men wear a suit or dress shirt with tie and semi-formal attire such as a cocktail-length dress or dressy separates for women.

Are there any colors or styles you'd prefer me to wear?
Answer
We kindly request that guests refrain from wearing jeans to our wedding. We want to create a special and elegant atmosphere for our celebration, and your adherence to this dress code will contribute to the overall ambiance of the event. We also request that our guests refrain from wearing white or ivory to help the bride stand out on our special day. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating this joyous occasion with you!

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?
Answer
If you have an allergy or dietary restrictions, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can communicate them with our caterer. We want all of our guests to be able to enjoy the food we will be providing.

Answer
Our wedding registry is located on our wedding website under the registry tab.
Question
Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?
Answer
We are asking our guests to please contribute to our honeymoon fund, instead of sending us gifts. We are very grateful to already have everything we need for our home.

Could you suggest places to eat, drink and see while I am in town for your wedding?
Answer
Under the Things To Do tab, we have a few suggestions for things to do, and places to eat or shop.

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?
Answer
Unfortunately we will not be reserving blocks of rooms for our wedding. We do have several suggestions for hotels under our Travel tab on our website.
