In the summer of 2018, Sydney took a job at the local ACME deli while home from college. She expected to spend her days slicing cheese, dodging customers—not dodging flirtation attempts from her future fiancé. Anthony, already working there, made his interest known… and got politely turned down. But persistence (and a little deli charm) goes a long way. By winter of 2018, something shifted. Maybe it was the shared laughs during slow shifts, maybe it was the way Anthony always made the closing duties a little more fun—or maybe it was fate. Either way, sparks started flying, and not long after the start of the new year, they made it official. Since then, it’s been six years of laughter, love, and learning how to share snacks. We’ve taken road trips, cruised through the Caribbean (twice!), and built a home filled with equal parts joy and fur—thanks to our four beloved pets: Rhodey, the loyal hot dog; Reese, our tiny chaos machine; Emmy, the cat who rules the household with a single glare; and Ellie, the kitten who we found through the cat distribution system at 4 weeks old. In April 2025, during a sunset on our cruise together, Anthony got down on one knee while the ocean sparkled around us—and Sydney said yes. Now, we’re getting ready to celebrate our biggest adventure yet, surrounded by all of you who have cheered us on from the deli days to today.
