The bride to be is a wonderful and compassionate daughter, sibling and friend. She has a large circle of friends. Once you enter that circle, she’ll never let you leave. One exceptional talent of hers, some may may be unaware, is that she is one of the best movie quoters that you’ll ever meet, sliding one-liners into conversation regularly. From Bridesmaids to Dumb & Dumber, Baby Mama to Stepbrothers, she’ll keep you laughing daily. She truly loves her dashing husband to be, Clint, but it is very apparent that Rosie and Piper come first.
Clint Shackelford
Groom
Loyal friend, basketball super star, Star Wars enthusiast, and exceptional doodle dad, Clint is the groom of all grooms. He is always the first person to show up when somebody needs help. He cares deeply for his family and friends and loves endlessly. Clint always laughs at Sydney’s jokes and takes her to sonic for a cherry limeade when she is having a bad day. He may be the older of the two, but he definitely keeps Sydney young.
Kelsea Bruce Pesci
Matron of Honor
Kelsea, Sydney’s sister, is the Matron of Honor. She spent 28 years trying to find her clothes that Sydney continued to steal. Unlike Clint, she never laughed at Syd’s jokes. She paved the way for Sydney through childhood into their early adult years. There are few sisters that are closer than the two of them. Kelsea will be celebrating from the best seat in the house, Heaven. They’ll both be sporting her favorite nail color for the day, Cajun Shrimp.
Cinaca Shackelford
Maid of Honor
Cinaca is Clint’s older sister and biggest cheerleader. From the moment she met Sydney, she has claimed her as her best friend for life. Sydney takes on that role with great pride. You’ll be able to find her on the dance floor bustin’ some moves like jagger. CAREFUL — she watches so much WWE she can probably take you down in a flash!
Jason Bullock
Best Man
Jason is Clint’s best friend of 25 years. They have been through many stages of life together. Even though they have lived far apart for many years, it is like they’ve never missed a beat. They mostly keep in touch through zombie video games.
Paula Bruce
Mother of the Bride
Paula is credited with teaching Sydney her independence and how to never be on time. She is single-handedly responsible for the silliness that makes Sydney who she is. Paula is not like a regular mom, she’s a cool mom.
Bobby Bruce
Father of the Bride
Bobby taught Sydney how to ride a bike, how to shoot straight, and what some may argue is the most important skill — how to clean her cast iron skillet properly. Sydney has always been described as a Daddy’s girl and she couldn’t be more proud of the man.
Twyla Shackelford
Mother of the Groom
Twyla raised Clint and his sister while his dad worked tirelessly. She spent her nights working as an RN and her day keeping Clint in line. Needless to say, she has put up with a lot of crap over the last forty years. She deserves an award, honestly. She makes the best Dago Bread in three counties.
David Shackelford
Father of the Groom
You can always find a smile on David Allen’s face. He’s one of the kindest, funniest men you’ll ever meet. He has passed down his love for basketball, OCD for sweeping the floor, and really, really ridiculous good looks down to Clint (aside from height and his beard growing skills — he kept those for himself).
Bailee McKay
Photographer aka Super Cousin/Best Friend
Bailee is the photographer for Clint and Sydney’s wedding. Truly, she is so much more than that. She was Sydney’s built-in best friend. Being only one month and a few days apart in age, they’ve been helping each other through every stage of life. Years ago, Sydney was the maid of honor in Bailee and Josh’s wedding. Now, not only is Bailee celebrating with the bride and groom, she’s going to be running around with her camera like a super ninja documenting the entire day. She is really providing the only material memory from the wedding that will last — photographs. It may sound like work to some, but to Bailee, its an honor. Clint and Sydney will never be able to thank her enough.
Josh McKay
Officiant
Josh married into the family by way of Sydney’s cousin, Bailee. He fit right in — picking on Sydney from day one. He runs a major excavating business out of Greenbrier, AR and has a never ending honey-do list from his incredibly talented photographer/full-time supermom of a wife; but he always gets the job done. Even though he’d never admit it, Sydney is definitely his favorite family member. He was practically jumping for joy to marry Clint and Syd —-or maybe that was when he found out it would be open bar? We may never know.
