Mike and Emily swiped on each other on the app Tinder. They spoke for awhile but eventually it fizzled out. Emily ended up deleting the app altogether. A few weeks later, a friend of Emily's was talking to her about another dating app. So she downloaded Bumble that evening. When she started swiping she saw a face that was familiar. So she swiped and to her surprise, he had also swiped right. On Bumble, the women have to text first. So Emily opened the chat and said, "fancy seeing you here?!" She clicked out of the app to try to keep her mind off of how long it would take him to reply. Five minutes later, she got a notification. He replied and said, "you too :) now when are you going to let me take you on that date?" So the next day, they both went to work and that evening they met at Clancy's for their first date. And it was a sweet one, they spent 45 minutes talking before they bowled, played three games (which Emily lost each one badly), and shared their first kiss in the parking while it was raining. They been together ever since.
Earlier in the week Mike and Emily decided to have a date night on Friday. So they settled on dinner downtown for tacos and margaritas and then a few quick games at Clancy's. At dinner they talked about the weekends to come and all the events they were attending soon. After dinner Mike drove them over to Clancy's. Mike pulled into parking lot and to Emily's surprise, Mike parked closer to the back instead of the front. Emily realized it was where her car was parked on their first date. (Where they shared their first kiss) They went inside, played two games (which again Emily lost badly). Once they finished, they went outside and made it to the car. The door was locked and Mike wasn't going for his keys. Before he was able to say anything a woman next to them told them that people were taking pictures of them from behind a few cars. Emily started looking around, really confused. She then noticed Sabrina (Mike's sister) taking photos from behind a car. She looked back at Mike and he was smiling. He kissed her forehead, grabbed the box from his pocket and then got down on one knee. Emily wasn't able to get yes out from all the crying she was doing but she did shake her head. After asking Emily, Mike told her that the second surprise was back in their town of Albany. He had invited their families and friends to celebrate it with them. They spent the night taking pictures, laughing (and crying) together. It was wonderful.
