It all began with a swipe right on Bumble… Patrick saw a spunky brunette from Florida and Kim saw a tall midwestern guy with a sweet smile. She messaged him first, and Patrick made the plans for drinks at a bar called Hidden Lane. From that night forward there were dates throughout the city, trips upstate to see Fall foliage and Storm King, a Westminster Dog Show, a Bayonne concert, a Nebraska football game in Maryland, and trips to meeting each other’s family and friends in Boca Raton, Chicago, & Nashville. After only 4 months of dating, a pandemic shut down the entire world. NYC became too difficult to navigate safely while still seeing each other, so they decided to head South & quarantine at Kim’s family’s ranch in Florida. What they thought would be 2 weeks away turned into 3+ months of living together. By the time they returned to NYC in late June, they knew they had something special! Shortly thereafter came a new apartment in Greenpoint, a golden retriever named Winnie, and many amazing memories in their new home with both old and new friends. Patrick proposed to Kim in September of 2021, exactly 23 months to the day of their first date...thankfully, Kim said YES after initially believing he was breaking up with her... All of which has led them to this point! They cannot wait to celebrate with friends and family in the city of music, on November 4th, 2022!
