In the year 2009, a young guy called Stephen parents told him to stay on campus during vacation period to partake in the summer vacation classes. At the end of the vacation classes he decided to stay an extra week to attend that year’s Scripture Union annual conference (SU) as it was held in his school Lawrence Demonstration Junior High School. SU is a Christian non-denominational organization that seeks to propagate the gospel of Christ across the world. On the second day of the camp which was Saturday, he decided to go for breakfast with his friends who were also attending the camp. As quit and introvert as he is, he decided to sit at the very first table he saw to avoid walking through the crowd. As he sat down and lifted up his head, across from him was this beautiful young lady who he latter came to know as Eunice. She offered him a powdered milk which he responded “oh thank you I already have some in my cup”, but she still insisted and said “if you do not take it, don’t talk to me”. That statement was very interesting as he thought about it and said to himself “I do not even know you, what makes you think I want to talk to you” but as a gentleman he took it and thanked her. From there a conversation sparked and they became friends from that moment, attending various events together throughout the camp period. He would escort her to the girls sleeping place, go dress up and come back later to pick her up for evening service. As young as they were at that time (age 13 and 12) they knew they had strong feelings for each other even though they did not really understand what love is. After a decade, they are here fully aware of what they felt for each other at that young ages and it couldn’t be anything more than genuine love and care for each other! Who knew that God could cause individuals to met their life partner in such a manner that even years of experience couldn’t change that first spark of love? God is able! #osofokofigirl
