Katie and Kathryn met freshman year of high school, but became best friends during show choir senior year of high school. Even though Katie went to Iowa State for college, Kathryn thought she was probably worth staying friends with. The best thing about their friendship is they can go weeks or months without talking or seeing each other and when they do it's like no time has passed! Kathryn was actually living with Katie and her now husband in Des Moines where she reconnected with Tim! And thank goodness for that because Katie and her husband had no idea that softener is not laundry detergent until Kathryn moved in!

Cody Ritter

Best Man

Cody and Tim have been friends since Junior year in college. They met when they were assigned to a group project together. Tim, hating group projects, immediately thought, "oh great." It turned out being the best project either one of them did. Cody and Tim then fused a relationship through gaming that could stand the test of time (as long as there are games and fast internet).

Clare Starr-Spain

Clare is Kathryn's sister. First through fate and friendship and soon through marriage in law. Kathryn and Clare spent most of high school together causing mayhem and making low quality Pokémon music videos. A couple trips to the ER and 10 years later, Clare and Kathryn are still laughing obnoxiously almost constantly. Oh yeah and Clare is Tim's actual sister and how Kathryn and Tim met.

Matt Starr

Matt has always been a great big brother to Tim and has helped shape Tim into the man he is today. Matt influenced countless decisions in Tim's life from what kind of car he drives to where he should go to college. Tim thanks Matt for encouraging him to go to the University of Northern Iowa where he graduated and met the best friends of his life. Matt and Tim are proof that just because you are related doesn't mean you can't be friends.

Cailey Anderson

Kathryn and Cailey met freshman year of high school, but their friendship really started during lunch one day senior year. Kathryn was telling some friends how nervous she was about a random roommate in college because she really wanted to take her baby blanket (said jokingly but totally serious) when Cailey piped in with "same!" They were college roommates for two years and best friends ever since. Kathryn taught Cailey how to make spaghetti and Cailey taught Kathryn how to dance to Love Lockdown. Now they are a Doctor of Pharmacy and a Doctor of Nursing Practice and they both still sleep with their baby blankies-so what?

Greg Starr

Greg isn't like other little brothers. Greg is a cool little brother. Although Time and Greg are 8 years apart in age, they are as close as if they were born together. They bond over their mutual love of gaming and making terrible (but hilarious) jokes.

Taya Amundson

Kathryn and Taya were RAs together in college. The two of them were like Batman and Robin-keeping Slater Hall safe one alcohol bust at a time. Taya is Kathryn's constant conscience - she's always there to guide her with wisdom and sound advice - like how you should never sit on someone's white couch if it's your time of the month or that a chicken and ice cream diet is totally an effective way to get skinny fast. Kathryn first had the honor of watching Taya find her faith and be baptized and now has the honor of having her as a forever friend. Although Taya is a bridesmaid in at least four weddings a year she is most excited for Kathryn's.

Tyler Glass

Tyler and Tim also at Nationwide. Tyler is everyone's best friend. Tyler is the type of person that would do anything in the world if one of his friends needed help. Tyler has always been there to support Tim and serve up some seriously hilarious humor. Tyler has been another great role model for Tim when it comes to being a high quality family man. Tyler taught Tim that if you try hard enough you can score the girl of your dreams, have the coolest baby girl, and live the happiest life.

Taylor Sula

Taylor and Kathryn have been causing party bus mayhem together for 7 or so years. When Kathryn first met Taylor her first instinct was to befriend her because she had a dog (and that's super cool in college). After years of tequilla and biting, Cosmo the dog and Kathryn have become sworn enemies while Taylor and Kathryn have forged a friendship to last a lifetime. While both of them probably seem like they would prefer a stiff hand shake to a hug you can bet that they will both be ugly crying at how beautiful the other is at their weddings this year!

Chris and Tim met at Nationwide, Tim's first assignment in Des Moines. Tim likes to joke that Chris was totally lame before Tyler and Tim invited him to be cool. (Just kidding Chris; you're awesome.) Chris and Tim made fast friends and perfect gym buddies. Chris is easily one of the best dads ever - everything he does is for his family. He has been a great role model and friend for Tim. Tim would be happy to be even half as good at being a dad as Chris is.

Cole Rush

Cole was also an RA with Kathryn and a great roommate for a short while - he even set up two TVs in the living room so he could play video games while she watched "Dawson's Vampires or whatever." When Cole and Kathryn weren't busy busting kids for weed, they were making up songs about poop and making music videos about busting kids for weed (seriously-they won an RA award for it!). While Kathryn would have loved Cole to perform a bathroom themed scat at her wedding, he is too important to her to not stand up by her when she marries Tim. Also, the grandparents might not appreciate the scat as much as she would.

Mitch was the other member in the college group project that sparked life long friendships. Mitch is always a great friend and always up for having a good time. The great thing about Mitch and Tim is that no matter how much time they spend apart, as soon as they get together they go right back to when they became best friends.

Katelyn and Kathryn have known each other since freshman year of high school! From lab partners in chemistry and pod buddies in psychology to celebrating growing up together the one thing that always remains clear: Kathryn and Katelyn make a great team!

Chantal Rozmus

Chantal is one of those rare and beautiful people that you meet in your life and your heart has already known them forever. Although Kathryn has a strict 'Do not be nice or make friends with students' rule, Chantal some how managed to get her to break that rule. In a short time Chantal has also managed to forge a strong bond with Tim founded almost entirely of constantly roasting Kathryn to her face and behind her back. Tim and Kathryn both feel lucky to have met her in time to make her a part of their special day!

Piper

Dog of Honor

Piper saved Kathryn's life. Kathryn has always been independent, but was terrified to live alone. In her last year of pharmacy school, Kathryn got her first place on her own and decided to get a dog. Piper was the cutest and most terrible puppy imaginable - she was extremely high energy, naughty, and didn't care to snuggle. She was also wonderful, she kept Kathryn busy, happy, and safe. Now Piper and Kathryn are best friends - seriously don't ask her to choose between Tim and Piper because it gets really awkward.

Bella

Best Dog

Bella was the best Christmas present Tim ever received! Tim and Kathryn had been casually talking about getting a puppy and friend for Piper for a while, but he was so surprised when he unwrapped a picture of a tiny puppy for Christmas and Kathryn told him she would be joining the family in a month. Bella has been a great addition to the family and makes Tim almost as happy as Kathryn does.
