On just the second day of freshman year in 2013, Jenna and Brett met each other in History 111. While they didn't say much to one another on the that first day, eventually they ended up walking to and from class together which led to studying for tests together, and an A in the class from Jenna and.. well not an quite an A for Brett.
Before leaving for work, Brett told Jenna that he wanted to go out to dinner before she left for the upcoming week to be with her family. Alarms went off in Jenna's head and by the time Brett got home, she had her hair and makeup already done in excitement! Not wanting to let Jenna know so easily what the night might end with, Brett told Jenna that he was too tired, he needed to just stay in that night. After about 10 minutes, Brett finally "changed his mind" and decided he could muster up the energy to go for a walk. Eventually, Brett and Jenna made it to Belmont Harbor in Chicago, one of their favorite places to walk to and spend an afternoon. Just as they approached the harbor, the rain cleared - making the city skyline visible and the beach entirely empty. After some time, Brett got down on one knee, and in a wonderful blur, Jenna said yes! After the proposal, Jenna and Brett headed out to Cobblestone, a little French bistro in their neighborhood, where they celebrated with dinner and a bottle of champagne!
We will be holding all wedding day festivities at Wildwood Family Farms! Wildwood Family Farms was founded in 2002 and has so much to see and offer including flower gardens, farm animals, pond, woods, and a beautiful red barn. This place is extra special to Jenna though, as her former (and favorite elementary school teacher) runs and owns the venue!
