One could say it was luck, we like to call it fate. From the moment we crossed paths, we knew this was going be a different story than all the other ones before our time. We met pre-Covid at a crowed bar in Gilbert, Arizona. Good old, Champions Sports Bar; the kind of bar where you enter through the back door, the music is loud and you order two drinks at a time because the bar is too crowded to come back for a second or a third... After a few hours of chatting, having our date crashed by a random woman hitting on Stacey (of course), playing pool and drinking one too many Screwdriver cocktails and Cranberry Vodkas, we agreed to a dinner date the next day. Sunday came and as agreed the night before, we found ourselves at dinner talking about our pasts, present day challenges and what we envisioned for ourselves in the years to come. At this point we could say... "and the rest is history"
After nearly three years of history, we took the trip of a lifetime to beautiful Maui, Hawaii. During this time, we spent THE BEST days with our family and loved ones, living on Island Time was a dream. On July 21, 2022 we got up early, literally at the crack of dawn, if you know Stacey, you know she is not a morning person- but on this special day she was, she was chipper, wide awake, and in a hurry to get the day going. After getting our car loaded, stopping for gas and some good Hawaiian Coffee, we embarked on the most magical road trip. The Road to Hana, began with a drive through the beautiful town of Paia, this tiny little town had so much character; we immediately knew we were in for an unforgettable day. As the day progressed, we saw countless waterfalls, the famous Painted Forest which is composed of unique Rainbow Eucalyptus trees, we stopped and had lunch by the Black Sand beach and finally began our drive to our destination where we eventually would get engaged. Our last stop was The Venus Pools, in this moment, as we walked through the rock formations and took in the vastness of the Island, we were in awe at how perfectly crafted this magical place is. After sharing some words about each other and making a promise to keep for a life time, Stacey finally asked "Will you be my wife?" of course the answer was "YES!" followed by one too many "Oh my god!", a few happy tears, lots of hugs, and kisses! The days that followed, we celebrated and lived in pure Engagement Bliss. While Stacey, thought that she was the only one proposing during this trip, I had arranged an Engagement Photo Session with the excuse of "when in Maui". Little did she know, a whole production between myself and the photographer had taken place behind the scenes, so that we could have a Dual Proposal. While taking photos and walking on the beach, I asked Stacey to Marry Me! Seeing her expression of happiness and surprise will always be one of my favorite memories of us. If you are still reading, we are honored you are taking the time to celebrate with us and cannot wait to see you on our BIG DAY! With love, Stacey & Gaby
