Question

How can I get to the wedding reception?

Answer

If you're staying at The Abbey Resort, park your car on site and a shuttle will take you to and from the Wallace Lake Home reception. If you're staying anywhere else in Lake Geneva, you can either park your car at St. Benedict Catholic Church and walk the 10 minutes to The Abbey Resort to be picked up by the shuttle, or you can Uber/Lyft to the Abbey. You can also Uber/Lyft directly to the Wallace Lake Home, but we recommend taking the shuttle back to the Abbey at the end of the night and catching your ride share from there. If you are looking for an Airbnb/VRBO we recommend looking around the Wallace lake home address, as you may be able to find rental homes within walking distance.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will be at St. Francis de Sales in Lake Geneva and will be a traditional Catholic mass. It will begin at 2pm, and end around 3pm. Please try to arrive no later than 1:45pm to be seated on time!

Question

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

Answer

The dress code for the wedding and reception will be formal, you can go as formal as tuxes and long dresses if you wish! But cocktail attire is perfect as well :) The tent will be heated and we will have heaters at the cocktail hour, but please bring layers to stay warm if you get cold easily. ( Like the bride, don't be surprised if you see her in a cardigan by the end of the night)

Question

Is there a dress code for the welcome party on Friday?

Answer

The dress code for Friday is casual! We will have an open bar and small plates for everyone who wishes to join

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is parking for everyone at St. Francis de Sales for the ceremony. For the reception, there will be no parking at the Wallace Lake House. Instead, we are providing a shuttle service to and from the reception, picking up and dropping off at The Abbey Resort. If you have a reservation at The Abbey, please feel free to leave your car at the resort all weekend after checking in to your reservation. If you are staying elsewhere, or are not staying overnight in Lake Geneva, please feel free to leave your car at St. Benedict Catholic Church across the street from The Abbey and walk the short 10 minute distance to The Abbey to be picked up by the shuttle. You can also ride share to The Abbey to be picked up by the shuttle.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! A shuttle will begin picking up guests at The Abbey Resort at 4:30pm to be transported to the reception. The shuttle will also bring guests back to The Abbey at the end of the night. If you are not staying at The Abbey, you can park your car at St. Benedict Catholic Church and walk 10 minutes to The Abbey to catch the shuttle.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

We will have a welcome party on Friday 10/15, from 8:00- 11:00 pm at Pier 290.

For all the days along the way
