Who would have thought a theology class would have brought us together? Well, if you know us, then of course it would! God's hand was on this unexpected union. We spent 8 weeks on Zoom during the fall last year for graduate school. Later on, both talked about how they noticed the other person's picture tile on the Zoom screen, but it was Joe who took the leap of faith and tested the waters, sending an email to "that pretty blonde" about a question on their final essay. When Morgan saw his name pop up on her email, she tried not be too excited. Was he actually asking about the essay or was he trying to find a way to talk to her? Joe did not waste anytime and made it clear that he was interested in more than the essay requirements for the paper. Though they live two hours from each other and during that time, Covid was still at its height, they made arrangements to meet up for some hikes around the DC area. It didn't take long before they realized there was a deep connection there. The rest is history. Fast-forward to May 15th. Joe asked for Morgan's hand in marriage and she said yes! They are so excited to say their vows before God and their family and friends on February 19, 2022!
