FAQs

Question

When can we book rooms and flights?

Answer

We've reserved a block of rooms at the resort. We ask that you book rooms with our travel agent Ketti Menne with an initial deposit by October 15th, 2022. Information on various room types, prices, arrival/departure dates, etc. is listed on our personalized wedding booking form, accessible on the 'Travel' page of the website. Please book flights after you book your stay to ensure your dates are confirmed and finalized. You're free to keep an eye on flight prices and book airfare on your own, or opt to book with Ketti.

Question

Is there a travel agent fee?

Answer

No, there is no additional fee for guests to use our travel agent for booking. She will book all rooms for the wedding group, and you will work with her directly on that, plus anything else you may want to like airfare and airport transportation.

Question

How far is the resort from Cancun International Airport?

Answer

Hard Rock Riviera Maya is about a 1-hour drive south. There are different airport transportation options available, many of which can be found on the wedding booking form.

Question

Do we ever have to leave the resort?

Answer

Once you arrive, get ready for an all-inclusive stay. Your room booking includes unlimited food/drink, pool/beachside service, daily and nightly entertainment options, 24-hour room service, resort-wide WiFi, bars, buffets, and full service restaurants. For an additional cost you can also visit the spa and/or salon.

Question

What's outside the resort if we want to explore?

Answer

Lots of options for guided tours, excursions, and activities, including: golf, yacht tours, dolphin interaction, snorkeling, ziplining, Mayan ruins, and other tourist locations like Tulum, Playa del Carmen, and Cozumel.

Question

What's the difference between the Heaven and Hacienda sections of the resort?

Answer

Heaven is adults-only with slightly elevated accommodations. Hacienda is family-friendly. Regardless of where you book a room, adults can travel freely to both sides of the resort to visit the different pools, bars, etc. John and I plan to stay at Hacienda, but it's completely up to you!

Question

Are children invited to the wedding?

Answer

We respectfully request no children at the planned wedding events unless listed on the invitation. If you have questions for us about your particular situation, let us know and we'll try to clarify and/or assist.

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

We acknowledge it is a big expense to attend a destination wedding. If you're able to attend, know that your presence is the greatest gift of all! For those who cannot attend, we have been lucky to have your support all these years and will raise a glass to you from afar :)

Question

Any tips for staying at an all-inclusive?

Answer

Meals, drinks, and room service are already included in your stay. While not required, tipping for cocktail, restaurant, and housekeeping services are appreciated. Bring a decent amount of small bills for tipping. In our experience American dollars are just fine, and there's no need to exchange money. If you're planning on tours/excursions outside the resort, check to see what your payment options are. Some restaurants are harder to get into than others. We recommend making dinner reservations upon arrival if you know there are certain places you want to try. The same goes with spa and/or salon services.
