It was June 2021 when a mutual friend decided to play matchmaker [by introducing us on Instagram, of course]. We met and had brunch at Café Louis, not knowing it would turn into an eight-hour first date. As brunch concluded, we decided to stroll through Portland's West End with [then, just Kelsey's dog,] Josie. We grabbed ice cream from Twist, and laid in the middle of a soccer field, just talking and laughing. The day ended flipping through the pages of a Rothko book and a goodbye kiss, both knowing something special had started. *Later, Kelsey found out a funny secret – Jeremy had actually asked her out two years earlier, but she'd said no... thankfully, the second time was the charm. We quickly discovered we were a perfect match. We both love art, movies, museums, traveling, trying new foods, and, most importantly, spoiling [now both of our dog] Josie. In 2022, we moved in together, and our adventures continued. We've explored Brazil, India, Italy, and countless amazing places across the US, making unforgettable memories with friends and family along the way. In April 2024, we bought our first house together; a place to build our future. Now, we're thrilled to be taking the next step and getting married! We can't wait to celebrate with all of you, the people who have supported and loved us along the way. <3 kelsey & jeremy #xoxothevandroffs
4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
This event is a formal
Outdoor cocktail hour to follow in the garden, 4:30 - 5:30
Please enter the first and last name of one member of your party below.
If you're responding for you and a guest (or your family), you'll be able to RSVP for your entire group on the next page.
We recommend arriving to the Maine Jewish Museum by at least 3:30 (approximately 30 minutes before the ceremony begins). This will give you ample time to admire the beautiful art gallery, find your seat and settle in before the start of the celebration.
There is a [modern] formal dress code for both the ceremony and reception. Think: Women: Long elegant dress or pantsuit Men: Dark suit with a tie/bowtie (tuxedos welcome, not required) It's a great chance to dress up and feel fabulous.
Most of the wedding will take place indoors, but there will be opportunities to enjoy the outdoors, like during cocktail hour and when traveling between venues. You can expect comfortable weather in late May, with temperatures typically in the 60s and 70s (15-20 C).
While we love your little ones, we've decided to keep our wedding an adults-only celebration.
It’s a quick 10-minute walk (0.5 mi) from The Maine Jewish Museum to The United States Custom House, right through the heart of downtown. For those who prefer, we’ll have a shuttle running between the two locations from 5:30 to 6:30 PM.
No! Instead of a formal seated dinner, we're opting for a fun and interactive cocktail-style reception! Enjoy delicious food from various stations around the venue while mingling with friends and family. No need to worry about finding your seat – just grab a plate and enjoy the party!
Both venues are conveniently located downtown, so you can easily explore Portland's charming streets. While there's no dedicated parking on-site, you can find plenty of street parking (paid until 6 PM) and nearby parking garages. If you're feeling adventurous, we encourage you to walk. It's a great way to soak up the city's atmosphere, get some exercise, and maybe even discover a hidden gem along the way!
