Sean and Emily both went to Indiana University, Sean graduating in 2016 and Emily in 2017. They both were in Greek life and found each other crossing paths quite often, but Sean never quite made the move. That is, until Kadre (Emily's Maid of Honor) and her now husband Larry (Sean's fraternity brother and close friend) attempted to set them up for a "blind" Sunday breakfast double date. All was set and done, until Sean AND Emily woke up after a long IU tailgate and cancelled on breakfast and thus, their first date. Fast forward four years, and the two finally reconnected at Kadre and Larry's engagement party. They talked and laughed all night while celebrating their close friends, and just a couple weeks later they had their first date at a Cubs game. Both later said they knew on that first date that this would be the person that they would one day marry.
