On the very first day of medical school, Maria and Simon were assigned to the same orientation group. The orientation leaders asked them to make paper airplanes. That's when Simon first saw a cute girl folding the paper the wrong way and he offered assistance. For the rest of the day while everyone else was talking about the school they were laughing, flirting, and sharing stories in the back.

Simon and I flew to Barcelona and Paris for an amazing trip! On our last day in Paris, he took me to a Michelin-star restaurant, sunset atop of Montmartre, up the ricketiest elevator to the top of the Eiffel tower, and finally for champaign on the great lawn adjacent to the tower. I had a feeling the day was too good to be true and had a hunch he was going to propose, however as the day turned to night I assumed it was just another great day for the two of us. Little did I know, Simon had been looking for the perfect moment every stop of the day to pop the question! When the clock struck 11 PM, and when the Eiffel tower twinkled, Simon asked me to make him the luckiest man alive! It was an amazing day!
