Do you believe in fate? That's a question that a lot of people contemplate over their lifetime. This amazing couple has made it feel like fate does exist. Alexis had been working at Great Clips in Oberlin for a little over a year and was getting ready to leave to work out in Norwalk when she was handed a receipt from a stranger. This mysterious stranger was about to flip her world upside down. One day, Devin had spotted Alexis outside of the Great Clips when she was taking a break. This was only Devin's second week working at Verizon, which was right next door to Great Clips. After he saw her, Devin went to talk to his aunt who was working at the same store as Alexis and wanted to get her phone number. He later found out that his aunt was actually Alexis' trainer when she first got there. When his aunt asked Alexis if she can give her phone number to her nephew, Alexis said "if he wants it, then he can get it". Right after he heard back from his aunt, he stepped out of work to go next door to give her his phone number, which was on a Great Clips receipt. Turns out that was going to be the beginning of a beautiful relationship.

After Alexis got his phone number, she texted him as soon as he left. They started talking and became friends very quickly after that. From their very first encounter, they knew there was something different about each other. They were both so tired of asking "What's your favorite color?" and they didn't want to ask each other that silly question. On August 3rd, Devin asked Alexis to be his girlfriend. After dating for a few months, they both agreed that it was best if she were to move in with him. What made it even better was that both families were loving and accepting of the other. They knew that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together, and they knew that they were each other's end game.

On January 25th, Devin wanted to take Alexis out to Crocker Park to go shopping and get dinner. It was the first day off they had together in a while, so he wanted to make it special. The Christmas lights were still up, and they decided that was going to be a good spot to take some pictures after dinner. Devin wanted to make the day even more special, so he invited Lexie H. and Emma G. to go with them. They went to a few stores and went to get dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. When everyone was done, they went over to where the lights were up to take some pictures. While Alexis and Devin were getting their pictures taken, he got down on one knee and proposed. While crying from pure joy, Alexis said yes!!
