Phil and I met through a dating app, called Bumble! I "swiped" to hopefully connect with him because he seemed to have a fun personality and had a hilarious picture with a dinosaur! We matched and had our first date a few weeks later. He planned such a fun first date! He took me to dinner in Uptown Charlotte and to a comedy show. I didn't want the night to end, so after the comedy show, I suggested we grab a cocktail at a local rooftop bar. We dug really deep with personal questions (no surprise!) and the rest is history. We have been inseparable ever since!

"Well, there we are. In her parents' living room on Christmas Day. I was all but certain she had already seen the jewelry box in the drawer the night before but Sydney (her best friend) assured me she hadn't. I am about as nervous as I have ever been in my life, chest tight. Sierra goes to the restroom; game on. I usher her parents over quickly and tell them I have every intention of marrying their daughter with their blessing. I tell them their daughter means the world to me and that I can't imagine my life without her in it. They say "yes!" Hopefully, this isn't going to be the only "yes" of the day! Sierra comes back into the living room, and we get through all of the presents. But there is one more present on the other side of the room (Why is it over there? Because I'm terrible at planning.) So she walks over to get it, while I mad-dash over to my poorly-hidden secret stash on the OTHER side of the room. She turns back around, and I'm on one knee, ring in my hand. "Will you marry me?" "OMG, Are you serious?!....ABSOLUTELY!" Her dad took all the photos and a video and it was a perfect moment."- Phil
