At the downtown Littleton block party on June 8th 2018, Tyler was at the Littleton Elks Lodge with his dad. Shawna saw Tyler from across the bar and all her friends told her to go up and say hi. Shawna was embarrassed and left the bar for a moment. When she came back, her friends and Tyler were standing at the bar looking at her. Tyler used his smooth talking to ask Shawna on a date the very next night. Dinner at Maggiano’s, bowling at Bowlero (where Shawna accidentally knocked the automatic door off it’s tracks), the first date was in the books! What was supposed to be a summer fling turned into forever. On March 28th, 2023, Tyler took Shawna to Horsetooth Reservoir to recreate their first picture together. This is where he proposed.
