Throughout the weekend, we hope to be able to spend lots of time with our family and friends. We love your little ones, however, we respectfully ask that this be an adults - and teens - only ceremony and reception! If you need help finding a sitter, please let Jess know!
Cocktail attire, so suits and ties for men and cocktail dresses for ladies. Keep in mind that it will be December in Minnesota, so it could be a little chilly (although we'll be inside for all events)!
We have two hotel blocks in downtown Minneapolis; one at the Hotel Ivy and another at the Marriott City Center. Both are within a 10 minute drive of the church and reception venue. You could also look into an Airbnb or Homeaway for the weekend if you choose!
Yes! We are registered at Zola, Crate & Barrel, & Bed Bath & Beyond.
Yes, there is parking available at both the ceremony and reception. There is a ramp (an underground parking garage) next to Our Lady of Lourdes. Please note there is a small hourly rate associated with parking in the ramp. Solar Arts (the reception venue) has a small parking lot, but please note it is about a 5 minute walk to the venue (again keeping in mind that it will be December in Minnesota). There is no charge to park here. Both Lyft & Uber are plentiful in Minneapolis, so we do suggest using these to get around and avoid the hassle of driving.
We are not doing a first look, so we will be taking photos in between the ceremony and reception. Both the church and the reception are located in Northeast Minneapolis which has a lot of great bars, restaurants, cafes and shops. We have provided some suggestions for places to spend your "downtime" on the "Schedule" page.
We recommend taking Uber or Lyft. If you choose to drive there is plenty of parking available.
We have set up event codes with Uber & Lyft for you to use to get from the ceremony to the reception. We will provide more information on how to use these as we get closer to the wedding! Or you can drive if you would like!
We have planned all the weekend’s events within a few miles radius of the hotels downtown, so you shouldn’t need a rental car. However, if you do decide to rent one, there are parking lots and/or garages at all event locations. One exception is Modist Brewery where we will be for Welcome Drinks; there is only street parking there and it can be challenging!
