We met through a mutual friend in college. I played volleyball and Sergio played tennis. She told me that Sergio thought I was cute and that he was planning on reaching out to me soon. About a week later, Sergio "slid in my DM's" on Instagram and asked me a question about volleyball. The next week I saw Sergio walking towards me at school and my heart began to race. I pretended to be deeply interested in the conversation I was having with my friend, almost straining my neck to avoid eye contact with him (Sergio says it was super obvious that I was trying not to look at him). Fast forward a few days and Sergio sparked another conversation on Instagram. We decided to grab pizza after practice the next day. We were both very hungry, but so nervous that we barely ate. From that moment on we became inseparable. On October 28th 2023 we met some friends at Laguna beach for brunch. As we walked down the stairs to the water, I saw it... "MARRY ME?" and I said YES!
