Things To Do

Western Massachusetts is not the most exciting place in the world, but there are some hidden gems we'd like to point out. :)

Northampton

Northampton, MA

This is a cute college town full of good food and small, local shops. Good for an afternoon of walking and shopping.

Amherst

Amherst, MA

Amherst is also a cute college town. Amherst is better for food more than shopping, but it can be a nice place to walk around. Amherst Cinema is a great little independent movie theater as well. The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art is also located in Amherst. HINT: Only people from out of town pronounce the "h" in Amherst.

The Berkshires are a bit more of a trek, but if you have a car, we highly recommend giving this art museum a visit. Also in the Berkshires is a cute walking/shopping town known as Great Barrington.

Our favorite brewery in the area. If you go on a weekend evening, you may catch some live music. We highly recommend the (alcoholic) ginger beer here!
