It all began in 2022 on a hot summer’s night in New York City - the city of bright lights, bold dreams, and depending on who you ask, a bit of “persistence”… or as Lexi likes to call it, “light stalking.” Either way, fate clearly had a plan. Their first date was at Wine Escape, where Lexi arrived fashionably late in all denim. Justin, who has a strong (and vocal) dislike for denim, nearly staged his own escape. But before he could, Lexi declared, “tell your parents I’m the girl you’re going to marry.” Justin laughed. Lexi didn’t. (spoiler alert: she was right.) The very next night, they met again — Lexi invited Justin to a “party” at her apartment. He showed up expecting a crowd… only to find Lexi and two friends. It was the smallest “party” he’d ever attended — and the best one, too. From that night on, they were inseparable. Their relationship grew over diner dates, Stumble Inn Saturdays (if you know you know), and their shared love of sports — especially cheering on the New York Knicks (Lexi’s emotional investment deserves its own highlight reel) and watching games from the standing room only section at Yankee Stadium — because, as they’ll tell you, that’s where the true fans live. Music has been another shared passion, and their concert adventures perfectly capture their dynamic range — from Stevie Wonder to Nicki Minaj, Kesha, and even Andrea Bocelli. It’s safe to say their playlists are as eclectic as their personalities. In the early days, even though they lived “long distance” (Lexi on the Upper East Side, Justin in what Lexi dramatically called a subway desert in Hell’s Kitchen), love conquered the MTA divide. Now they happily live together in that same “desert,” which doesn’t seem so bad anymore. Together they’ve shared warm-weather adventures, trying new food from oysters and caviar to chicken fingers (Justin’s first love). They’ve built a life centered on laughter, loyalty, and love - and one very special number: 27. When Justin made partner at his law firm, they flew to London to celebrate. Their flight was delayed, and the gate number wouldn’t appear. Justin joked, “I’ll propose if you guess the gate right.” Without hesitation, they both said 27. And magically — yes, really — the gate was 27. On March 27th, Justin proposed at Wine Escape (where this story first began). Now, they can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter of their story with you on February 7th (2/7!). After all, some things are just meant to be — especially when they start with persistence, denim, and a little bit of magic. ❤️
