Like all modern love stories, ours began… on a dating app. In March 2022, we matched and Tyler decided that an axe-throwing bar in Milwaukee was the perfect place for a first date. Nothing says romance like sharp objects, dim lighting, and signing a liability waiver before you even say “nice to meet you.” Abbie wasn’t even 21 yet, Tyler wasn’t drinking alcohol at the time, and there we were throwing axes, hoping for the best, and somehow falling for each other. Fast-forward to September 2025: we got engaged and began the search for the perfect Wisconsin wedding venue. We toured a bunch (and even thought we found “the one”), but once we started totaling up costs, reality hit fast. Our marriage is priceless… but the venue bill definitely wasn’t. So we chose something that felt more “us”: an intimate destination wedding where we could celebrate for days instead of hours. While a destination wedding naturally means a smaller guest list, that’s gives us the opportunity to be fully present with our closest family and friends. We can’t wait to spend an unforgettable few days in paradise with you all.
