Collinsville Canoe & Kayak
A great place to rent a canoe, kayak, or paddleboard. Paddle up river then ride it back down and tell people you rowed 3 miles!
West Hartford Reservoir
A nice place for a walk or a hike or a stroll or a jaunt! Depends on your mood!
Blue Back Square
Food, shopping, restaurants, escape rooms, ice cream places and a generally good place to stroll around
Elizabeth Park Rose Garden
A rose garden walking distance from our house. In my experience it is a great place to run through. It also has a lot of thorns that you can use however you want.
The Coffee Trade
Best coffee in the state! I'd add something funny here but their good coffee needs to be taken seriously.
New Park Brewing
Small brewery, great beer, worth a trip if beer is your kind of thing. If it's not, you can probably skip this.
Matterhorn Mini Golf
There are a ton of mini golf courses in the area for those of you looking to relive your McGolf glory days. Our personal favorite? Matterhorn mini golf, a golf course that will not only hone your putting skills but ALSO teach you about Switzerland!
Montana Nights Axe Throwing
In my experience this is a good place to plan on going and then find out that it's booked and just go out to dinner instead. In other people's experience, it's a good place to go to throw axes.
Hillstead Museum
The sight of our engagement photos. A beautifully built museum and well worth a quick trip over to see the views, take in the grounds and, if time, take a tour to see the art collection! If more time, feel free to try to recreate our engagement photos but then you probably have too much time.
Mark Twain House & Museum
Fun Fact: We live down the road from Mark Twain's house. So we're practically neighbors with a famous person.
New Britain Museum of American Art
A well renowned art museum with...paintings...and....arty...things. Gotta be honest. I've never been and can only guess what's in there but I've heard great things and it's near the top of my Must-Do list
