It’s finally happening guys!

We met at my old job, trash talking each other through the entire TCU and OU football game. We discovered we root for rival teams! (BOOMER SOONER)... and somehow we ended up exchanging phone numbers, thanks to his best man Tommy! I invited him to my college group at church, but I never really expected to hear from him again. 3 days later, however, I got a phone call from the kid I met at work saying he was at Rose Heights and wasn’t sure where to go from there... INSTANT PANIC MODE! I started to freak out! My best friend and I basically avoided him the entire night (I felt sooo bad) but he stayed around long enough to hug me bye and thank me for the invite. I could tell he probably wasn’t going to come back due to my incredible amount of awkward remarks and innability to socialize like a normal human... I lost all cool! When he walked away I turned to look at my best friend who was giving me the “oooh girlll you're in trouble” look and I quickly responded with “I would marry that guy, I don’t know how to act around husband material”. That night, I decided to gain the confidence to text him a short explanation of my uncool attempt at hosting a guest I was clearly crushing on ( I knew I had to or there would be little to no hope of us ever seeing each other again) by saying “ hey sorry I was sort of weird tonight but I am glad you came, we should hang out again”, 100% expecting him to give some elaborate excuse as to why hanging out with me probably wasn't going to happen again. But to my surprise, I received a quick flirty reply saying “ It’s okay I was pretty awkward myself, but yeah lets do it”. And well I guess that's where it all started!
