We invite you to stay at North Cadbury Court with us for the duration of the celebration. Steeped in history but full of life, North Cadbury Court is no ordinary country house. Set in 1,500 acres of rolling Somerset countryside, this historic yet wonderfully relaxed home is designed for bringing people together. Inside, the Grade-1 listed house is warm, laidback and bursting with character. From the elegant Morning Room to the cosy, wood-panelled North Hall and bright, airy Ballroom. The 21 beautiful and unique bedrooms in the main house are a perfect mix of luxury and homely comfort, with antique furnishings, cotton robes and fluffy towels, plush bedding, and spectacular views. But what really sets North Cadbury Court apart is its sense of fun. The estate is a playground for all ages. Tee off from the rooftop golf tee, roll in to bumper ball mayhem, enjoy a game of tennis, croquet, squash and snooker, paddleboard, kayak or pedalo on the lake or try your luck in the basement casino. Just want to unwind the day after the wedding? Head to the heated indoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Venture beyond the estate, and you’ll find charming market towns, country pubs, and stunning countryside walks, including the legendary Cadbury Hill Fort, rumoured to be King Arthur’s Camelot.
Train
You can easily access North Cadbury Court by public transport from London. How: Take a Great Western Railway (GWR) Exeter St Davids train from London Paddington and get off at Castle Cary Station (6 stops and approx. 1hr 30mins). From there, exit the train station at Castle Cary and catch the number 1 bus to Yeovil and get off at The Catash Inn (6 stops and approx. 20mins). From there, it's a 5min walk to North Cadbury Court and we will be there to welcome you with open arms! Alternatively, as long as you keep us in the loop with what time you will be arriving at the station, we should be able to arrange a pick you for you up from Castle Cary Station as there will be a number of us with cars and it's only a 10 minute drive from the house. Book your train tickets via the GWR website or Trainline. Please reach out to us if you are intending to catch public transport from London, we will help guide you with booking tickets/getting there. We've previously done this trip so we should be able to help out with any questions!
Rental Car
Hiring a car is a great option if you’d like flexibility and want to explore nearby villages and the surrounding region (highly recommend). North Cadbury Court is approximately 2hrs from Heathrow Airport and 2.5hrs from Central London. Parking is available at the venue. Recommendations We've previously hired a car through Drivalia and had a good experience with them, but they are a bus ride away from Heathrow airport. Feel free to have a look at some other options closer to the airport!
Travel Note
For a comfortable and scenic journey to our wedding celebration, we recommend using Berrys Coaches' Superfast 2 (SF2) service, which operates twice daily between London Hammersmith Bus Station and Yeovil in Somerset. This is a cheaper alternative to the train. The journey to Yeovil by coach taking approximately 3.5 to 4 hours. Upon arrival at Yeovil Bus Station, you could then either catch the Number 1 Bus and get off at The Catash Inn or take a taxi. Departure Point: London Hammersmith Bus Station, Bay D Arrival Point: Yeovil Bus Station, Central Road, Yeovil BA20 1LH There is also a return bus from Yeovil Bus Station back to London twice daily. Though we haven't personally used the coach service, it is a good alternative if you are not keen on the train.
